I had been training for cueing my entire career.
Sana Badhwar · Founder · Before Cue Dynamics
Translation has been my profession longer than Pilates has. Eight years in corporate, three in coaching and consulting. Beneath every job title, the same single job: take something complex and put it into words that make a person act. I did not know it yet.
Pilates was the practice I held privately for ten years before certifying. And certification revealed something the credential rarely mentions: the anatomy is learnable, the repertoire is learnable, and neither tells you what to say when a real body is moving in real time and your mind goes blank. That part is largely left in your hands, on your own time. The industry teaches movement. It does not teach the language that commands it.
I treated the gap like a consultant would. After every session, a voice note: what landed, what missed, which words moved bodies and which just filled air. Data first, then patterns, then a framework. The framework became the way I teach.
Data first, then patterns, then a framework.
The results were measurable, the way I like results. A room that moves as one organism, new bodies, mixed levels, first encounters. A 94% practical and a 90% written, scored by examiners watching my language translate into movement in real time.
Interviewed before the exam. Hired at Toronto’s newest premium studio the moment I finished it. The practical score only confirmed what they had already watched me do.
Cue Dynamics is that language, made teachable. Not inspiration; a framework underneath.
“Not inspiration; a framework underneath.” And a language earns a name that works like one.
Dynamics studies the forces that produce motion. Three of them come with the room. The fourth walks in with you.
Springs, gravity, and load act on every body in the room. The cue is the one force the instructor controls, and the only one that speaks.
Cue Dynamics: the study of what to say, and the motion it produces.

I’m a fully certified STOTT PILATES Instructor: the complete Comprehensive program plus Injuries & Special Populations.
Most instructors score higher on the written. I scored the other way — stronger on the practical, the one that matters in the room.
Yes, the scores are real. They are also the least interesting thing on this page. What matters is what happens to a room when the cue finally lands.
